Neglected heating or cooling systems break down quicker than systems that are regularly maintained. This natural atrophy is unavoidable in any machine, but there are ways to slow it down. In order to get a full lifetime out of your HVAC system, you must have it maintained at the beginning of both the heating and cooling seasons. Without routine maintenance, the parts of your system, like the motors and electrical components, will have to work harder and will eventually fail. We offer service contracts to customers with BEM installations and other customers upon a system evaluation. This will enable us to come by twice a year to make sure filters are changed, drains are cleared, and every component is up to snuff. If there are any problems, we will have found and rectified it before the seasonal extremes.
There are key points of routine maintenance that need to be performed before every heating season. These include changing filters if you have forced air, changing humidifier parts as necessary, and covering outdoor condensers to avoid the effects of New York winters. Outside of these key things, we will run your heat and observe it every step of the way to make sure it all goes smoothly.
The summer maintenance is similar to the winter. We’ll change your filters, clear your drains, and run the A/C system to watch it in action. We’ll also check the refrigerant charge before the summer to make sure the levels haven’t dropped. If there’s a leak, we want to find it and fix it before the first heat wave. We’ll get this done each year if you’re part of our service agreement program.
We provide service agreements on all of our installations because we’re more than happy to stand by our work. If your system wasn’t installed by us, we will stop by to evaluate what you have and what you will likely need in the future to determine what your agreement will provide. During the peak time of each season, our customers with service agreements will get priority over all others.
